Jill & Brian — A Cinematic Summer Wedding at Kortright Centre

There are weddings you photograph and then there are weddings you feel. Jill and Brian's summer day at Kortright Centre for Conservation in Vaughan was absolutely the latter. From the first frame to the last, this was a wedding full of warmth, emotion, and the kind of love that's impossible to fake in front of a camera.

Kortright Centre — one of the GTA's most stunning wedding venues

If you haven't been to Kortright Centre for Conservation, it sits just outside Toronto in Vaughan, Ontario, nestled in a canopy of trees with winding paths, natural light filtering through the forest, and a sense of calm that feels completely removed from the city. It's one of those venues that does half the work for you — and as a wedding videographer, I couldn't ask for a more cinematic backdrop.

Summer weddings here have a magic all their own. The greenery is lush, the golden hour light is extraordinary, and the natural setting gives every frame a warmth and depth that's hard to replicate anywhere else in the GTA.

This film was a joy to make. Jill and Brian have the kind of quiet, steady love that shows up in the small moments — a look, a hand held, a laugh shared between just the two of them. My goal with every wedding film I create is to capture those in-between moments just as much as the big ones, and with this couple there was no shortage of either.

The ceremony was intimate and emotional, the reception filled with dancing and genuine joy, and the whole day moved with the kind of ease that only comes when two people are exactly where they're supposed to be.
